In this paper, the passenger flow in the transfer hall of a subway hub in Beijing in three typical seasons is measured and analysed. The results show that the passenger flow is not affected by outdoor meteorological conditions and seasonality, but is closely related to the work schedule and the size of the surrounding office and residential population. The number of passengers in the transfer hall at any moment is equal to the difference between the inflow and outflow of passenger flow series at that moment. According to the characteristics of passenger flow density, the univariate linear regression model of passenger flow density in the transfer hall is established according to working days and weekends, respectively, and the fitting formula of passenger flow density is given in sections. The model is verified by measured data.
